The Lady of Lourdes Respect Life group prays that all of our brothers and sisters in Christ will join us in active support during this fight with Satan for the souls and lives of others, especially for those sinless of humankind not yet out of the womb. This is a battle that crosses all borders, religions, and is indeed 'World wide' in it's scope. The outcry from the angels in heaven can not be ignored any longer. We pray for our President to be steadfast in his convictions to help us in whatever ways he is able and we pray for continued help from the holy spirit for all concerned Christians throughout the world through our lord, Jesus Christ. AMEN

NEWS:

We DO NOT UNDERSTAND why it is so hard to get support from our parish. Other parish's get much support for their pro life group from the parish members. Due to lack of direct support from our parish members, we meeting with the parish Legion of Mary group. We meet with them on Saturday's at 7:00-8:30 pm in the PHS.

Sure, the big attention is focused on Abortions at this time but the Respect life movement in the church is much more.

We are focused on Abortions because of the gross miss-conceptions given to the public, including our parish members by the supporters of 'free choice'. We want everyone in the parish to be knowledgeable about what is going on and the lies they are being given by the public media.

The Lord gives every human the right to choose between right and wrong, everlasting life in heaven or hell. We do not deny this.

The problem is the lack of morals in our society today, the use of abortions as a form of contraception, with no guilt association attached to the taking of human life this produces !!

The church has strict standards in regard to this and WE as professing members in good standing with the church must live by these standards, NOT select and choose which we want to apply to ourselves !!

It is not only OUR church but many Christen denominations throughout the world that are in this fight, along side us. We know this is the work of Satan !!

DOUBLE STANDARD !!

In a real sense, the double standard has been revisited and revised with abortion. While the right to abdicate future motherhood is guaranteed, the right to insist on future fatherhood is not. IF the mother chooses motherhood, men are obligated in paternity action. Even if women choose abortion over the males' objection, men typically shoulder the bulk of the financial costs.

When MEN promote abortion for their partners it is typified as coercion, lack of caring, insensitivity and selfishness.

When WOMEN choose abortion, it is the exclamation of women's rights, an affirmation of the right to health and freedom from male oppression, and a confirmation of the sovereign territoriality over the female body and reproductive functions.

For either sex, the loss of a child is like none other. Guilt and grief can be tenacious, and they cannot be willed away.

To forgive one's self is not the same as to forget the abortion.
